1,1,1-Tris(4-hydroxyphenyl)ethane is a solid at room temperature and is primarily used in the synthesis of polymeric materials and other fields. 1,1,1-Tris(4-hydroxyphenyl)ethane (THPE) is a trifunctional phenolic compound that can be used as a crosslinking agent or branching agent for a variety of polymers (such as polycarbonate, epoxy resin, polyarylate, adhesives and coatings, etc.) and can also be used as an intermediate for the preparation of antioxidants.
