Introduction and Application

1H,1H,2H,2H-Perfluorooctyl Iodide (CAS 2043-57-4) is a pale pink fluorinated organic compound that is liquid at room temperature (25°C) and undergoes a solid-liquid phase transition near 20°C. It is insoluble in water but soluble in halogenated hydrocarbons, ethers, and other organic solvents. It is primarily used in the synthesis of fluorinated surfactants, fluorinated surface treatment agents, perfluoroalkyl alcohols, and perfluorohexyl ethyl acrylate, among other fluorinated fine chemicals.

Used for the synthesis of various fluorine surfactants, fluorine surface treatment agents and other fluorine fine chemicals
