Introduction
Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate (CAS 137-16-6) is an amino acid-based surfactant and a sodium sarcosinate derivative. Depending on the acyl substituent, it can be classified into types such as lauroyl and oleoyl. At room temperature, it is a white to pale yellow liquid with a distinctive odor. It is readily soluble in water, ethanol, and glycerol, and exhibits good thermal and chemical stability.
Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate is an anionic surfactant derived from natural amino acid (hydroxyglycine) with good foaming and mild cleaning properties. It is widely used in personal care products (such as shampoo, toothpaste, shaving cream, etc.) and biochemical experiments (such as cell lysis, membrane protein extraction). It has both biodegradability and excellent skin compatibility. It often works synergistically with other surfactants in various formulations to improve foam texture and cleaning effect.

Application
Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate is a very mild surfactant that can form fine and smooth foam. When combined with other surfactants, it has a very good synergistic effect, which can reduce the irritation caused by traditional surfactants and improve foaming power. It is used in daily cleansing and personal bath products.
Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate has good compatibility with other anionic surfactants; an excellent foaming effect can also improve foaming ability in salt water and hard water, can improve the softness and combing of hair, and is relatively stable in environments from strong alkaline to pH 5.5. It is suitable for soap-based cleansing creams and slightly acidic cleansing products. When combined with other anions, it can reduce the irritation of the system and improve the foaming ability. It has good compatibility with disinfectants and bactericides.
Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate can be used as hand soap, shower gel, shampoo foam, shaving products, oral cleaning products, cleansing liquid, soap-based cleansing cream, facial cleanser, and baby products. Recommended dosage: 3%-10%.
