Introduction

Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine is a commonly used cationic surfactant, mainly used in hair care formulations, with excellent antistatic, emulsifying and conditioning properties, and is easily biodegradable and mild. It is a white to light yellow solid or flake at room temperature, with a pH of about 8.5–10.5, and can form a water-soluble ammonium salt under acidification conditions.

Stearamidopropyl dimethylamine can be used as an emulsifier, wetting agent, dispersant, antistatic agent, softener, detergent, rust inhibitor, thickener and fungicide.
The main raw material of stearamidopropyl dimethylamine is natural plant products, which have high biodegradability and a low level of biological toxicity.
Stearamidopropyl dimethylamine has both cationic and non-ionic characteristics and is very compatible with anionic surfactants. It can be used in environmentally friendly conditioner formulas, which are less irritating to the skin and eyes and is more gentle. It can also be used in shampoos to provide thickening and conditioning effects.
Stearamidopropyl dimethylamine can also be used in hair dye products, which have good colour protection. In hair dye creams, it can enhance colour intensity and colour uniformity, reduce the damage caused by hair dyeing to hair, and provide a gelling effect.
