1. Hexamidine diisethionate is a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent and bactericide for bacteria, moulds and yeasts. It is increasingly widely used in the cosmetics industry and has good anti-acne, oil control, anti-irritation and anti-dandruff effects.
2. Hexamidine diisethionate is a new type of anti-dandruff and antipruritic agent, which has a very strong killing effect on Malassezia (Pityrosporum ovale) that causes dandruff.
3. This ingredient is included in the list of permitted preservatives, with a limited usage of 0.1%. 4. It is easy to use, water-soluble, non-precipitating, and does not require suspension; it will not cause discolouration. It is very safe and gentle, even non-irritating to the eyes, and can remain on the skin and scalp.
