Introduction
Sodium thioglycolate is an important flotation depressant. It is used as a depressant for copper minerals and pyrite in the flotation of copper-molybdenum ore. It has a significant inhibitory effect on copper, sulfur and other minerals and can effectively improve the grade of molybdenum concentrate. Sodium thioglycolate has been successfully used for many years in molybdenum production as a new type of effective depressant for sulfide ores, and has completely replaced the highly toxic depressant sodium cyanide.
