Introduction
Sodium 3,5-dichloro-2-hydroxybenzenesulfonate (DHBS) interacts with the target by participating in a colorimetric reaction and is used for the colorimetric quantification of uric acid in serum and urine samples. Specifically, DHBS is used in combination with 4-aminoantipyrine (4-AAP) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) for the colorimetric quantification of peroxidase in a coupled enzymatic reaction.
