Introduction
TBHBA (2,4,6-Tribromo-3-hydroxybenzoic acid) is an enzymatic colorimetric reagent that reacts with 4-aminoantipyrine (4-AA) or 3-methylbenzothiazolinone hydrazone (MBTH) in the presence of hydrogen peroxide and peroxidase to form a highly stable dye. This reaction is an oxidative coupling reaction.
