Introduction

KT P-1000, P-650 and P-250 series products are aromatic diamine chain extenders and curing agents containing flexible polyether segments and ester bonds. KT P series products are similar to KT 740M in molecular structure and belong to the same series of compounds. P-250 has a lower melting point than 740M and is more convenient to use. The hardness of the product is higher than that based on P-1000 and P-650.
KT P-1000 and P-650 may lose fluidity or become waxy when placed at a lower temperature. They are viscous liquids when warmed to above 25°C. They are easy to operate and can be mixed, poured and cured with TDI and MDI prepolymers at room temperature. They are particularly suitable for on-site processing and preparation of elastic polyurethane materials.

Application 

The application areas of KT P series products include cast elastomers, high-solid two-component coatings, high-solid or solvent-free two-component polyurethane adhesives, sealants and spray elastomer systems. Compared with the MDI type prepolymer/diol hot casting/curing system, the room temperature curing system of polyurethane prepolymer and P-1000 or P-650 is not only simple in operation process, but also has better performance than the former. In addition, the shrinkage of the elastomer obtained by curing at room temperature is low, which is also a major feature of this chain extender. P-650 and P-250 can also be used as curing agents for epoxy resins to improve flexibility.
KTP series products can be used as flexibility modifiers for epoxy resin curing systems. The polyurethane elastomers prepared by the KT P series have excellent tensile strength, tear strength, abrasion resistance, hot strength, heat aging resistance and bonding properties.
