Introduction and Application
It is widely used in polymerization reactions of acrylic resins, coatings, inks, polystyrene, AS, ABS, EPS, PS, chloroprene rubber, propylene styrene latex, styrene butadiene latex and olefin products. It can also be used as a scorch retarder. When crosslinking with organic peroxides, it is very important to control the operating temperature. The early temperature should not be too high to cause early crosslinking (scorching) of the polymer. In order to avoid early crosslinking, linear dimer (MSD) should be added. According to reports, MSD can not only prevent early crosslinking of polyethylene and its copolymers, but also act as a crosslinking aid.
Dosage: Generally used as an equimolar substitute with dodecanethiol.
