Introduction
2-Butyl-1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one (BBIT) is a broad-spectrum, highly effective fungicide, mainly used to kill microorganisms that corrode and adhere to polymer materials such as polyurethane (PU), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polysiloxane (silicone), polyethylene (PE), and polypropylene (PP). This product has stable chemical properties, does not react with additives, does not affect product performance, and can be miscible with plasticizers, organic carriers, and diluents; it has good UV resistance and will not fail when used outdoors. The amount added to indoor and outdoor plastic products is generally 0.5-1%, and the mildew resistance level can reach level 0. This product does not contain halogens or heavy metals.
