Introduction

2,2-Dibromo-2-cyanoacetamide is a white crystal. Its melting point is 125℃. It is soluble in common organic solvents (such as acetone, benzene, dimethylformamide, ethanol, polyethylene glycol, etc.) and slightly soluble in water (100g water dissolves 1.5g at 25℃). Its aqueous solution is relatively stable under acidic conditions and easily hydrolyzed under alkaline conditions. Increasing the pH value, heating, or irradiating with ultraviolet light or fluorescence can greatly accelerate its dissolution rate.

2,2-Dibromo-2-cyanoacetamide is a broad-spectrum and highly effective industrial fungicide used to prevent the growth and reproduction of bacteria and algae in papermaking, industrial circulating cooling water, metalworking lubricants, pulp, wood, coatings and plywood. It can also be used as a slime control agent and is widely used in paper mill pulp and circulating cooling water systems. This product has good stripping properties, no foam when used, and the liquid product is miscible with water in any ratio and has low toxicity.
