Introduction and Application
As a scarce rigid diacid, FDCA is an important monomer to replace petroleum-based terephthalic acid (PTA). It can be used to prepare various functional polymers, such as aramid (high-performance fiber), polyester (bottles, containers and films), polyamide (new nylon), polyurethane, biodegradable plastics, unsaturated resins, etc. It is currently the product with the largest market capacity among furan derivatives.
