Application
1,3-Propanediol cyclic sulfate(TS) is an important additive in lithium secondary battery electrolytes, which reduces electrolyte viscosity, enhances lithium ion migration rate, and improves battery charge and discharge efficiency in low temperature environments (such as -20°C). It prevents propylene carbonate (PC) molecules from being embedded in graphite layers, avoids electrode structure damage, and improves cycle stability. It forms a uniform cathode-electrolyte interface (CEI) on the positive electrode surface, inhibits electrolyte oxidation and decomposition, and reduces gas production.
