Decabromodiphenyl ether is mainly used as an additive flame retardant. It has a large bromine content, good thermal stability, high flame retardant performance, and a wide range of uses. It is suitable for use as a flame retardant for polyethylene, polypropylene, ABS resin, epoxy resin, PBT resin, silicone rubber, terpolymer rubber, polyester fiber, cotton fiber, etc. However, its disadvantage is that it has poor weather resistance and can cause the resin to turn yellow.
