Introduction
Diphenylguanidine DPG is used as a co-accelerator in most sulfur-vulcanized elastomers, natural rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber ingredients, together with thiazole and sulfonamide accelerators.
Accelerator DPG is mainly used as a medium-speed accelerator for natural rubber and synthetic rubber. It is often used as an activator for thiazole, thiuram and sulfonamide accelerators. When using thiazole accelerators as the second accelerator, the aging resistance of the vulcanized rubber is reduced, and an appropriate antioxidant must be added.
Diphenylguanidine DPG is used as a gelling agent in the foaming process of natural rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber latex.
Diphenylguanidine DPG causes discoloration, so it is not suitable for white and light-colored rubber products.
Diphenylguanidine DPG acts as a plasticizer and shrinkage agent in chloroprene rubber.
