Introduction
2,4,6-Tris-(2,4,6-tribromophenoxy)-1,3,5-triazine is a weather-resistant flame retardant containing bromine and nitrogen. Its large molecular structure, white appearance, and excellent light resistance overcome the shortcomings of decabromodiphenyl ether (DBDE) such as poor light resistance and migration. It is an upgraded alternative to decabromodiphenyl ether and tetrabromobisphenol A. It exhibits excellent thermal stability, electrical properties, and light resistance.
Unlike conventional halogen-containing flame retardants, 2,4,6-Tris-(2,4,6-tribromophenoxy)-1,3,5-triazine has a high initial decomposition temperature and contains no free bromine, resulting in safer processing equipment and superior product performance. It is widely used in modified engineering plastics such as HIPS, ABS/PC, PBT, PC, ABS, and AS. Sb2O3 (antimony trioxide) is generally added during use. Flame-retardant engineering plastics containing this product can be used in various injection molding and extrusion applications, can meet various processing requirements, and can smoothly carry out the recycling and reuse of flame-retardant recycled materials.
