Product Description

KT746 is an oil-soluble, ashless rust inhibitor based on a dodecenyl succinic acid structure. The product exhibits excellent oil solubility and forms a robust oil film on metal surfaces, providing comprehensive protection against rust and corrosion. It serves as an outstanding rust inhibitor for various oil-based products and offers a degree of protective capability for aluminum, copper, and their alloys; however, its rust-inhibiting performance is poor regarding lead and cast iron. It is frequently compounded with other rust inhibitors to formulate rust-preventive storage greases and inter-process rust-preventive oils. Furthermore, it is compounded with detergents and dispersants to formulate rust-inhibiting lubricating oils for internal combustion engines and aircraft engines.
