2-(2-Ethoxyethoxy)ethyl acetate is also called Diethylene glycol monoethyl ether acetate.
2-(2-Ethoxyethoxy)ethyl acetate is a non-polluting solvent with multiple functional groups. It is mainly used as a coalescing agent for latex paint. Due to its excellent solubility and slow evaporation rate, it is an ideal solvent in the production of slow-drying nitrocellulose paint, natural paint or spray painting process. It is also widely used in the production of pharmaceutical pesticides and as a cleaning agent and wiper for glass panels in the electronics industry.
