Introduction
2-BroMo-2-nitropropane-1, also known as Bronopol (BNP), is a white to off-white crystalline powder with a melting point of 123-131 °C. It is easily soluble in water, ethanol, propylene glycol, ethyl acetate, etc., slightly soluble in oil, and insoluble in chloroform, acetone, etc.

Application:
Bronopol (BNP) is a low-toxic, high-efficiency, broad-spectrum industrial fungicide used to prevent the growth and reproduction of bacteria and algae in papermaking, industrial circulating cooling water, metal processing lubricants, pulp, wood, coatings and plywood. It can also be used as a slime control agent and is widely used in paper mill pulp and circulating cooling water systems.
