2-Ethylhexyl 4-(dimethylamino)benzoate is a highly efficient UVB absorber with good light stability and good compatibility with other UV absorbers. It is widely used in sunscreen cosmetics. The US FDA lists sunscreens containing this product as the first category of recommended cosmetics, with a maximum addition amount of 10% (JP) and 8% (EU, USA, CN, CA, AUS, KR).
