Introduction
2-Ethylhexyl salicylate is an efficient UV absorber, oil-soluble, with a UV absorption rate of up to 165 at a wavelength of 305nm. It can effectively absorb ultraviolet rays (UVB) in sunlight to prevent skin redness, sunburn, and tanning. It is widely used in sunscreen formulations and is also a good medicine for treating photosensitive dermatitis. Adding it to shampoo can prevent fading. In industry, it is often added to products such as plastics and inks to prevent them from aging.
