Product Details
Introduction
3-mercaptopropylmethoxysilane is a bifunctional organic silane with reactive organic thiol groups and hydrolyzable inorganic methoxysilyl groups. 3-mercaptopropylmethoxysilane is a clear, colorless to pale yellow liquid with a slight thiol odor. It is soluble in alcohols, ketones, and aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbons.
KT-9581 is a silicone compound with a bifunctional group that has a mercapto group that can react with organic substances and a dimethoxysilyl group that can be hydrolyzed and react with inorganic substances.
Through chemical action, organic coupling can be formed between organic and inorganic substances.
Applications
KT-9581 is widely used in natural and synthetic rubber. In addition, it can be used as a reinforcing agent and cross-linking promoter for composite materials, coatings, inks, glues, sealing materials, etc. It can also be used for modification of resins and enzyme fixation, as well as for the synthesis of UV- or EB-crosslinked polymers.
