Solubility: Soluble in aromatic and most aliphatic solvents such as alcohols and ketones, slightly soluble in water, but will hydrolyze, the hydrolyzate is unstable, and it is easy to polymerize under overheating, light, and the presence of peroxides
Application
1. This product can improve the mechanical and electrical properties of glass fiber reinforced and inorganic filler-containing thermosetting and thermoplastic resins, especially those cured by active free radical mechanism (such as unsaturated polyester, polyurethane and acrylate), peroxide-cured rubber (EPR, EPDM, silicone rubber, etc.) and thermoplastic resin (including polyolefin and thermoplastic polyurethane);
2. This product can significantly improve the dry and wet mechanical strength and electrical properties of unsaturated polyester composites filled with inorganic fillers (such as cast or die-cast artificial quartz stone, etc.);
3. This product can be copolymerized with vinyl acetate, acrylic acid or methacrylic acid monomers to synthesize silane-modified polymers that can be cross-linked and cured at room temperature. Such polymers are widely used in coatings, adhesives and sealants, providing excellent adhesion and durability;
4. Pure acrylic emulsions copolymerized with 3-(methacryloyloxy)propyltriisopropoxysilane monomers can provide new options for the preparation of formaldehyde-free and one-component water-based coatings. This emulsion can be used for wood coatings for floors, kitchen cabinets, industrial and fine furniture.
