4,4'-Diaminodiphenyl ether (ODA) is a high value-added fine chemical intermediate. It is the main monomer for synthesizing heat-resistant plastics such as polyimide and polymaleimide. ODA is also the raw material for synthesizing 3,3',4,4'-tetraaminodiphenyl ether, which is the main monomer for preparing a series of new heat-resistant heterocyclic polymer materials such as polybenzimidazole and polyphenylquinoline.

① It is one of the important raw materials for new special engineering plastics such as polyimide, polyetherimide, polyesterimide, polymaleimide, polyaramid, and other high-temperature-resistant resins.
② It is also the raw material for synthesizing 3,3', 4,4'-tetraaminodiphenyl ether, which is the main monomer for preparing a series of aromatic heterocyclic, heat-resistant polymer materials.
③ It is also used as a raw material and cross-linking agent for synthetic polymers such as high-performance heat-resistant epoxy resins and polyurethanes.
④ It is also used to replace carcinogenic benzidine in the production of azo dyes, reactive dyes, and spices. At present, direct dyes of different color levels such as bright red, brilliant red, sand red, yellow brown, green, gray, blue, brilliant orange, and black have been developed using diaminodiphenyl ether as a raw material. They can be used for dyeing silk, wool, cotton, linen, and other fabrics. Their color fastness and exhaustion rate are better than benzidine dyes.
