Product Details
Introduction
4-tert-Amylphenol is an alkyl-substituted phenolic compound obtained by acid-catalyzed alkylation of phenol and isobutylene. It has high hydrophobicity, thermal stability and weak acidity, and is often used as an antioxidant intermediate, resin/lubricant additive, disinfectant and fine chemical intermediate.
It is used as a resin cross-linking and antioxidant modifier to improve the stability of coatings and paints under high temperature and ultraviolet radiation; it can also be used as a phenolic cross-linking promoter for polyester resins and epoxy resins.
In oilfield exploitation and liquid separation, it can be used as a demulsifier to help separate the water phase from the oil phase in petroleum and improve the recovery rate.
It is used as an antioxidant in lubricating oil and hydraulic oil to delay the oxidative degradation of lubricating oil under high temperature operating conditions and increase the service life.
