Introduction
4-tert-Butylphenol is a white crystalline solid at room temperature and pressure. It is easily soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, ether, and benzene, but difficult to dissolve in water. It is a phenol derivative and has the general properties of phenolic compounds. It can react with alkaline substances to generate corresponding salts.

Application
This product is used as a stabilizer for polycarbonate resin, tert-butylphenolic resin, modified epoxy resin, modified xylene resin, and polyvinyl chloride. It is also used as an ultraviolet absorber, an anti-cracking agent for pesticides, rubber, coatings, etc., an antioxidant, dispersant, lubricant, detergent, combustion aid for lubricating oil, a stabilizer for styrene, an additive for dyes and paints, and an industrial insect repellent.
