Introduction and Application

GM is a multifunctional antioxidant, mainly used to provide stabilization in the processing of adhesives, elastomers and plastics. Unlike traditional phenolic antioxidants, GM can effectively capture alkyl radicals (carbon radical scavengers). It can play a greater role in high-temperature and high-shear processing under anaerobic conditions.

GM has a significant effect on the stability of adhesive elastomers based on polybutadiene and other dienes, such as polybutadiene and polybutadiene copolymers and other monomers. It can also be used in HIPS, ABS, SBS, SBR, NR, EPDM and hydrocarbon resins.

Advantages:

GM can effectively prevent gel formation of butadiene homopolymer and copolymer, especially in the process of anaerobic conditions

No discoloration, low volatility

GM has excellent extraction resistance

FDA approved for adhesives, styrene thermoplastic elastomers, ABS, polystyrene and rubber modified polystyrene

Recommended addition amount:

Adhesive elastomer: 0.05-0.5%, has good synergistic effect with phenolic antioxidants and phosphites

GM can also be used in conjunction with benzotriazole UV absorbers and hindered amine light stabilizers
