Product Details
Introduction and Application
Properties:White crystal or powder, insoluble in water, acid and alkali solution, insoluble in most organic solvents, and insoluble in hydrofluoric acid. Very stable. It does not react with liquid ammonia or even concentrated sulfuric acid when heated to smoke. It does not change when melted with potassium hydroxide, nor is it reduced by hydrogen. It does not decompose but sublimates when heated. Melting point 1040℃.
Uses:It is mainly used in aluminum production to reduce melting point and increase the conductivity of electrolytes. It is also used as an inhibitor of side fermentation in alcohol production, a flux for non-ferrous metals, and a flux for ceramic glazes and enamels.
