BETAINE SALICYLATE CAS 17671-53-3

Introduction 

Betaine Salicylate is a mild ingredient synthesized from naturally sourced salicylic acid and betaine, combining the acne-fighting and skin tightening benefits of salicylic acid with the moisturizing and hydrating benefits of betaine.

Betaine Salicylate is generally considered to be twice as mild as Salicylic Acid, i.e. a 4% Betaine Salicylate product is similar in irritation to a 2% Salicylic Acid product.

This product is a typical exfoliating ingredient that removes keratin and smoothes the skin; at the same time, studies have shown that this ingredient has some antibacterial properties and can inhibit the growth of Propionibacterium acnes.

Therefore, it can be used as a mild and effective ingredient to be added to products that exfoliate, remove acne and improve skin tone.

Acne remover, keratin remover, hair care, antibacterial agent, etc.

Additive quantity: 0.1 - 2.0%
