Introduction:
Bismuth Subsalicylate is a white or off-white powder. It is soluble in acid and alkali, but insoluble in water, alcohol and ether. It is odorless and tasteless, easily deteriorates when exposed to light, and decomposes when exposed to boiling water.

Bismuth Subsalicylate is mainly used as a hemostatic and anti-inflammatory drug to treat stomach discomfort, indigestion, nausea, heartburn and diarrhea; it is used in the treatment of syphilis and is also used to treat flat warts.
