Introduction
Butyltin chloride dihydroxide is a white, moisture-sensitive organotin solid . It serves primarily as a catalyst in esterification, polyester and polyurethane formulations, and has found niche uses in textile dye fixation and organometallic synthesis. It is soluble in reaction solution, soluble in dilute NaOH or hot HNO3, and insoluble in non-polar solutions.

Application
