Description
1-Chlorododecane is a colorless to slightly yellow liquid with low volatility. It has a high density and is insoluble in water, but soluble in organic solvents such as alcohol and ether. It is easily soluble in ethanol and miscible with acetone, carbon tetrachloride and petroleum ether.
Application
1-Chlorododecane can be used as a solvent, surfactant, plasticizer, and intermediate in organic synthesis.
