UV Absorber 384-2 CAS 127519-17-9

Introduction

UV absorber UV384-2 is a liquid benzotriazole UV absorber that can absorb 280-380 nanometer ultraviolet light, with absorption peaks at 303 nanometers and 343 nanometers. It has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, extraction resistance, low volatility, low migration, good thermal stability, and high absorption efficiency. It is soluble in polar and non-polar solvents. The unique hydroxyl group is easy to emulsify the water-based system, and the dispersion in the water-based system can be obtained by dissolving in water-based solvents such as diethylene glycol diethyl ether. It is suitable for automotive coatings, industrial coatings, wood coatings, and water-based coatings under high temperature baking and extremely harsh conditions to inhibit yellowing, cracking, blistering, shedding, and loss of gloss. When used in conjunction with light stabilizers, the synergistic effect is significant. General dosage: 1-3%, UV384-2; 1-2%, UV292, UV123.

Application 

Applicable to: automotive coatings and general industrial coatings, such as coil coatings and wood lacquer coatings. UV-384-2 can be used in combination with hindered amine light stabilizers, such as UV-292 or UV-123, for better results. The synergistic effect between these additives provides better inhibition of yellowing, cracking, blistering, shedding and matting of the coating.
