Introduction

3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl isocyanate, model KT9907M,  is a new type of isocyanate silane coupling agent. Its isocyanate group exhibits the chemical properties of typical alkyl isocyanates - it can easily react with active hydrogen (such as hydroxyl, amine, sulfhydryl, etc.) in organic polymers; and its alkoxy groups can provide good adhesion to the substrate after hydrolysis, or cross-link with each other. Using the above characteristics, this product can be used to cap and modify the above polymers, improve the adhesion and water resistance of the resin coating to a variety of substrates, achieve primer-free, and give the resin the characteristics of moisture curing. The trimethoxy hydrolysis rate of SCA-Y25M is faster, which can make the final product have faster reactivity and shorter curing and drying time.

Application 

Some typical uses of this product include: 
1. Crosslinking agent in one-component moisture-curing polyurethane, used to end-cap diols or polyether polyols;
2. Adhesion promoter for one-component moisture-curing polyurethane or two-component reactive polyurethane;
3. Adhesion promoter for silicone adhesives or coatings, enhancing their adhesion, water resistance and weather resistance.
