Product Description
Product Details
Introduction
Propylene glycol monoethyl ether (PE) is prepared from propylene oxide and ethanol in the presence of a catalyst. Due to the asymmetry of the molecular structure, there are two isomers in the reaction product: primary propyl ether (PPE) and secondary propyl ether (SPE). The primary ether has low toxicity and good application performance, so the higher the primary ether content in the product, the better.

Application
1. Coatings and Inks: As a solvent, DPM is used in paints, dyes, and printing inks to improve fluidity, reduce viscosity, and accelerate drying time while maintaining the stability of the formula.
2. Cleaners: In cleaners, DPM effectively dissolves grease, oil, and other residues and is widely used in degreasers, glass cleaners, and multi-purpose cleaners.
3. Chemical intermediates: DPM is used as a chemical intermediate in the production of other chemicals such as PVC stabilizers, nitrocellulose, ethyl cellulose, and polyvinyl acetate.
4. Brake fluid: As a component of brake fluid, DPM provides low freezing point and stable performance for a wide range of temperatures.
