Introduction
Sodium 2-ethylhexanoate can be used to synthesize 2-ethylhexanoic acid and other 2-ethylhexanoate salts. It is also often used as an organic salt-forming agent for synthetic pharmaceuticals, a catalytic drying agent for paints and inks, a polymer stabilizer, a cross-linking agent for polymer materials, a thickener for oil products, an additive for fuel oil energy conservation, a heat stabilizer for plastic products, and a wood preservative.
