N-Octyltrimethoxysilane CAS 3069-40-7

Introduction

n-Octylsilane has an 8-carbon straight-chain alkyl functional group, octyl, and three hydrolyzable alkoxy (methoxy) groups in its molecular structure. The octyl group has strong hydrophobicity and good wetting and dispersibility. In different applications, it can be used as a waterproofing agent, building protection agent, and surface modifier for pigments and fillers.

Application 

1. Widely used in waterproof and anti-seepage treatment of cement-based and natural stone surfaces, with excellent waterproof effect;
2. Used for surface treatment of various powders, especially titanium dioxide;
3. Used for the treatment of wear-resistant carbon black, and used together with white carbon black in rubber can significantly improve the dispersibility of white carbon black;
4. As a cement concrete additive, it can effectively improve the anti-seepage performance of cement buildings such as dams.
