Introduction
Proteinase K is a powerful proteinase isolated from Candida albicans with high specific activity and is a key reagent for DNA extraction.
This product is derived from Pichia pastoris with the proteinase K gene of Engyodontium album optimized by site-directed mutagenesis.
It has the advantages of high specific activity, high yield and wider temperature/pH activity range. Advanced protein engineering technology and 28,000L yeast platform with effective unit cost provide cost-effective proteinase K for biopharmaceutical research and development and production.
High-efficiency yeast expression and chromatographic purification ensure the purity of the product.
This product does not contain bacterial endotoxins and has a wider range of applications than natural proteinase K. Proteinase K is one of the most active varieties of existing proteases, with a pH activity range of 4-12 and a temperature range of 0-75℃. It remains active even in the presence of SDS, urea or EDTA. Proteinase K cleaves the carboxyl-terminal peptide bonds of aliphatic and aromatic amino acids and can degrade all proteins.
Application
Used to remove nuclease and other protein contamination in genetic diagnostic kits, genomic DNA extraction kits, and RNA extraction kits;
Extraction of non-protein biologics such as nucleic acids and polysaccharide drugs in the biopharmaceutical industry, e.g. preparation of DNA vaccines and heparin;
Used in skin care to remove aged stratum corneum cells and tanning, preparation of hydrolyzed protein condiments, cosmetics and feed processing and other daily-use industrial fields.
