Introduction
Luminol, whose chemical name is 3-amino-benzenedicarboxylic acid hydrazide, is a common fluorescent dye. It has unique chemical properties and can react with hydrogen peroxide under specific conditions to produce highly fluorescent substances. The fluorescent signal released during this reaction can be detected, thus providing a method for visual detection.

Application
Luminol reagent is used in the color development stage of chemiluminescence experiments, and can react with samples to emit blue light. In addition to being used for biochemical testing, carboxylic acid and amino compound labeling, and metal ion detection, luminol reagent is also often used in criminal investigation blood stain detection, and has a very high sensitivity.
