Introduction

3-(cyclohexylamino)-2-hydroxy-1-propanesuhic acid (CAPSO) is a zwitterionic buffer suitable for pH 8.9~10.3. It can be used for protein blotting and immunoblotting experiments, as well as protein sequencing and identification, and for transferring proteins to PVDF or nitrocellulose membranes. Its molecular structure contains both hydrophilic sulfonate groups and highly active hydroxyl groups, which are prone to reactions such as removal and substitution. Therefore, as an important functional substance, it can be used as an organic chemical intermediate to prepare excellent anionic surfactants, modified starch, drilling fluid water loss reduction materials, polymer functional monomers and other chemicals.
