Introduction

Chlorocyclohexane is a colorless transparent liquid with a boiling point of 142°C, a flash point of 28°C (closed cup), a melting point of -44°C, a density of 1.000 g/mL (25°C), and a refractive index of 1.4626 (20°C). It has a suffocating odor. It is insoluble in water and soluble in ethanol.

Chlorocyclohexane can be used as an intermediate for pesticides and medicines, a rubber anti-scorch agent, and organic synthesis. In pesticides, it is used to synthesize the intermediate tricyclohexyltin chloride of the acaricide tricyclotin and triazotin. 

In addition, it can also be used to synthesize the pharmaceutical benzhexyphenidyl hydrochloride and can also be used to prepare anti-scorch agent GP and other products. In medicine, it is used to prepare the anti-epileptic and spasm drug benzhexyphenidyl hydrochloride. It is also an intermediate for the pesticide tricyclotin and a rubber anti-scorch agent.
