Product Details
Introduction
Composite Electron Donor SED technology is an external electron donor of a composite alkoxysilane. SED is a composite alkoxysilane, a colorless transparent liquid.
The product is stable in a dry environment and can react with water in a humid environment to decompose into white solid silica gel.

Application
SED is used with efficient MgCl₂-loaded Ziegler-Natta catalysts for homopolymerization and copolymerization of propylene, improving the regioselectivity, stereoregularity, and catalyst activity of polypropylene, and is particularly suitable for the preparation of high isotactic and high melt index polypropylene. Kerton SED series products, such as SED1650 and SED5040, have been widely used in Spheripol, Hypol and Innovene propylene polymerization processes. Kerton SED can be used with various MgCl₂-loaded Ziegler-Natta catalysts produced by different manufacturers. SED needs to be designed according to Ziegler-Natta catalysts and propylene polymerization processes.
