Cyclohexyltrimethoxysilane CAS 17865-54-2

Introduction

Cyclohexyltrimethoxysilane is a colorless transparent liquid with a boiling point of 217°C, a flash point of 84°C (closed cup), and a density (20°C) of 0.955 g/mL. It is easily oxidized and requires nitrogen protection. 

Its performance is stable when stored in a sealed container. It reacts and polymerizes when it comes into contact with acids, alkalis, and water. It reacts strongly when it comes into contact with oxidants. It slowly decomposes and polymerizes into white silica gel when it comes into contact with water or moisture. It is easily miscible with organic solvents such as aromatic hydrocarbons, aliphatic hydrocarbons, and alcohols.

Cyclohexyltrimethoxysilane is an additive for highly efficient carrier catalysts for propylene polymerization. 

In its catalyst system, it is a good external electron donor, which plays an important role in improving catalyst activity, stereospecificity, and extending active life.
