Introduction and Application

Ergothioneine (L-ergothioneine, EGT, ERGO) is a natural rare amino acid strong antioxidant, first discovered in ergot fungi in 1909. It is an antioxidant, safe and non-toxic, and has multiple physiological functions, such as detoxification and maintaining DNA biosynthesis.
