Erucylamido Propyl Betaine is a cationic surfactant, an amino acid derivative, commonly used in personal care and cosmetics. It is produced by the reaction of erucic acid and propylaminoacetic acid, and has good foaming and cleaning properties.

It has good compatibility with anionic, cationic, nonionic and amphoteric surfactants.
It can form micellar gels of different strengths in salt solutions or acid solutions with different pH values, and the viscosity increases with the increase of pH value.
It is used for acid fracturing and applied to viscoelastic surfactant self-diverting acid system, playing the role of viscous acid, self-diverting acid and slow acid. It can withstand high temperature. It has the advantages of automatic diversion, easy backflow, reduced acid loss, simple acid preparation and construction process, and has achieved good results in many oil fields at home and abroad.
