Introduction and Application
Gallium selenide is a dark brown shiny flaky crystal. GaSe is a layered semiconductor like GaS. As the temperature decreases, the maximum value of GaSe photoelectric effect moves toward the short-wave direction.
Gallium selenide is a semiconductor with a band gap of about 2eV. GaSe has a direct band gap with strong photoluminescence and can be used in optoelectronic devices. It is used in mid-infrared frequency conversion and nonlinear applications.
