Product Details
Introduction
Glyceryl Monostearate is the most widely used additive and emulsifier in the oil chemical and daily chemical industries. Its hydrophilic-lipophilic balance value (HLB value for short) is 3.6-4.2, and it is oil-soluble. In addition to emulsification, it also has the functions of sedimentation, depression, anti-aging and controlling fatty acid aggregation. It is a typical non-ionic surfactant. Monoglyceride is a slightly yellow waxy solid. It is used as an emulsifier and surfactant in food or cosmetics, and is also a lubricant for transparent polyvinyl chloride granules. The product is insoluble in water, but hot-soluble in oils, paraffin, ethanol, chloroform, acetone, and ether.

Application
1. Additives for food and candy: Add as emulsifier to chocolate, margarine, ice cream, etc. or as surfactant, and can also be used in flour products and soy milk products. Adding 01~0.3% to bread can improve the preservation, increase softness and volume, improve the bread structure, and prevent bread aging; adding 0.2~0.5% to chocolate products can prevent sugar crystallization and oil-water separation, and increase the delicate feeling; adding 5~15% of the base material to bubble gum, and adding 5~10% to milk candy based on fat can prevent oil separation, increase gloss and prevent sticking teeth when eating; adding 0.3~0.5% to margarine or using it with 0.1~0.3% lecithin can prevent oil-water separation; adding about 0.8% to canned food can prevent oil-water separation.
2. In cosmetics: It is the raw material of skin care balm, cold cream, hair milk, shampoo, etc.
3. Thickener for pharmaceutical ointment, also used as an emulsifier in pharmaceuticals.
4. In the plastics industry, it is mainly used as a demolding agent, plasticizer, and antistatic agent. It is also particularly suitable for plastic foam products, such as "pearl cotton" as an anti-shrinkage agent in the production process. It is an indispensable lubricant in composite lead salt stabilizers. In the production of agricultural greenhouse films, monoglyceride is the main raw material for dripping agents.
5. Monoglyceride can also be used as a plasticizer for nitrocellulose, a modifier for alkyd resins, a latex dispersant, and a compounding agent for synthetic paraffin.
