KT HQEE-L -Aromatic diol chain extender

Introduction

KT HQEE-L is a para-substituted phenyl ether diol mixture with 4-hydroxyethyloxyethyl-1-hydroxyethyl phenyl diether as the main component, and is a homologue of HQEE. Due to the presence of asymmetric substances in the molecular structure, the chain extender is normally a viscous liquid, commonly known as liquid HQEE (HQEE-L).
KT HQEE-L has poor fluidity at room temperature. It will solidify into a waxy solid if left for a long time below 25°C. After warming to 35~40°C, its viscosity decreases and it is easy to operate. This product is particularly suitable for elastic polyurethane products with medium and high hardness. Compared with HQEE, the biggest advantage of HQEE-L is its excellent operability. The prepared polyurethane elastomer has the characteristics of high elongation and excellent flexural properties. Compared with aliphatic diol chain extenders such as 1,4-butanediol, the manufactured elastomer has good heat resistance.

Application 

KT HQEE-L is suitable for polyurethane systems such as TDI and MDI, and can be widely used in polyurethane elastomers (casting type, thermoplastic, mixing type), polyurethane adhesives, sealing materials, coatings, foam plastics, spandex, sports field paving materials and other fields.
