Methyl orthosilicate condensate (Si-51) can be used as a coupling agent for antifouling and weather-resistant coatings, anti-scratch hard coatings and epoxy coatings to improve surface adhesion and self-cleaning properties. In powder coating systems, it can be used as a crosslinking/toughening agent to improve leveling and hardness.
